Debra Hernandez, MHA, BSN, RN, FACHE, CENPĬhief Nursing Officer, Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin and University Medical Center Brackenridge Fox spent 29 years at Memorial Hermann in various staff, education and leadership roles including intensive care unit, emergency department, dialysis, telemetry and five years as director of clinical applications in information systems. Fox came from Memorial Hermann in Houston where she was the chief nursing officer of a 240-bed facility, one of 12 acute care hospitals in the system. Margaret worked in surgery for a number of years, earning her certification in 2001 and heading back to school to complete her BSN in 2005. After working with patients in a surgical intensive care unit, it seemed natural to transition to surgery. Margaret Butler, MBA, BSN, RN, NEA-BC, CNOR Brown gained accreditation for the hospital as the State of Arizona’s only Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and initiated development of the Children’s Neurosciences Institute. Before returning to Austin, she developed the Trauma Service Line at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. While there, Brown led the development and implementation of the State of Texas’ first Level I Pediatric Trauma Center as accredited by the American College of Surgeons. She served 17 years at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas in various staff and leadership roles. Brown received her BSN from The University of Texas at Austin. She directed the opening of a new patient care tower and the expansion of pediatric specialty services to rural sites in central Texas.
